5 Things to Expect from Gamescom 2016

By dcam129 Posted on in Community, PES2017

There’s just 6 days to go until PES 2017 is officially unveiled to the public at Gamescom 2016. If you’re lucky enough to be attending, trust us – you’re in for a treat! If you can’t make it to Cologne, don’t despair – expect some exciting reveals that should make that 33 day wait go a little faster! Here’s 5 things you should expect from PES 2017‘s showcase at Gamescom 2016

1. More PES2017 reactions and impressions

After #PESDAY and #PESDAY2, there have been plenty of PES 2017 impressions for you guys to get your teeth into. The game itself has been met with overwhelmingly positive reviews from the community and press alike, now it’s time for the wider public to get their hands on the game! Expect even more PES 2017 reactions… they should tide you over until the demo is released, right?

2. Demo release date

Holy PES 2017 Demo release date, Batman! Talking of demos, it has been mentioned by PES Global Product & Brand Manager – Adam Bhatti, that the release date for the upcoming PES 2017 Demo will be confirmed at Gamescom next week. We’re just speculating here, but with less than 5 weeks until the game drops, we can’t see the demo release being too far off! Relying on other people’s impressions is about to become a thing of the past. (Until next year that is!)

3. New Partner announcement

At the end of last month, KONAMI announced a huge Premium Partnership with FC Barcelona, who will be prominently involved with PES. It has been recently mentioned by Adam Bhatti on his personal Twitter that a NEW partnership will be announced at Gamescom! Who could the “big deal” be PES Fanners!?

4. News on Licenses

It’s a sure bet that we will find out about at least some of the licenses that PES have secured this year. We can safely assume that Arsenal and Atletico Madrid (who both appeared in preview builds of PES 2017) will be joining FC Barcelona as licensed teams. It is a matter of time before we find out which teams join them in being fully licensed in PES 2017!

5. Best Sports game at Gamescom 3 years running?

PES is currently on a 2 year Gamescom ‘Best Sports Game’ streak, with PES 2015 and PES 2016 both awarded with the prestigious title. Similarly to the 2 previous PES releases, PES 2017 has received positive preview impressions from community members and press alike. Can PES 2017 make it 3 Gamescom ‘Best Sports Game’ awards in a row? We’ll find out very soon!
