Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has announced renowned midfielder Philippe Coutinho is a new PES ambassador and will grace the cover of PES 2018 exclusively in Brazil. As one of the world’s most celebrated players, Coutinho’s venerable and distinct play style will be available for PES fans in game.
KONAMI has also entered into an exclusive in-game license and marketing agreement with CR Vasco da Gama, one of Brazil’s most popular football clubs. As part of the partnership, fans will be able to play their favorite Vasco da Gama players as well as play epic matches at the club’s home stadium, Estádio São Januário, which will all be exclusively featured in PES 2018.
“True to its name, Vasco da Gama is a champion club with a rich legacy that is situated among other elite teams in the country’s most prestigious league, and we will strive to faithfully recreate in PES 2018,” said Takayuki Kubo, President of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. “We know fans will be excited to see yet another one of their beloved teams featured in-game, as well as offer Vasco da Gama enthusiasts a fresh way to continue relishing in the excitement of their favorite club through PES.”
“Vasco da Gama is deeply rooted in history and tradition. Our organization takes pride in the accomplishments of our players and fans,” said Flavio Carvalho, Marketing Director, Vasco da Gama. “We partner with like-minded companies that have a similar approach to heritage and quality, so we are excited to join forces with KONAMI to extend our franchise to the best football game available in the market today, PES 2018.”
Other exclusive premiere licensed clubs from Brazil that will be showcased in PES 2018 includes: Sport Club Corinthians Paulista (Corinthians), Clube de Regatas do Flamengo (Flamengo). The upcoming title will also include Brazil’s most famous tournament Campeonato Brasileiro of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).
Adding to its roster of PES Legends, KONAMI also names Romário de Souza Faria (known simply as Romário) and Socrates. PES fans will be able to unlock the legendary striker and attacking midfielder respectively as in-game players exclusively for myClub.
For a consecutive year, PES 2018 will also feature distinguished commentary from Milton Leite and Mauro Beting, heightening the excitement of in-game matches and capturing the exhilaration of the sport for a more realistic football experience.
Centered on the concept that PES 2018 is “Where Legends are Made,” the new game boasts more new features and enhancements than any PES title in the last 10 years. The series’ award-winning gameplay offers total control over the on-field action, as players are guided to behave, move and react just like their real-life counterparts. New additions to the control systems add more fluidity to the game, while a new user interface makes accessing the many facets of the game a simpler process. KONAMI has also confirmed that the PC edition of the game will enjoy total parity with that of the leading console iterations.
PES 2018 also introduces new co-operative 2-Vs-2 and 3-Vs-3 modes with support for local guests. The much-requested ‘Random Selection’ match returns with all new content, while the Master League implements pre-season tournaments, a new transfer system and pre-match interviews and an insight to the changing rooms. Similarly, ahead of next season’s eSport tournament, the official PES LEAGUE has been integrated into the main game.
PES 2018 will be available on September 12th in the Americas and September 14th globally on PlayStation®4, Xbox One™, PlayStation®3, Xbox360™ and PC Steam.
