PES Rankings Weekly Roundup
This week there's been little movement at the top end of the PES Rankings table, with The_Greek and JonnyNelson retaining 1st and 2nd places respectively. Most of the movers and shakers this week seem to have picked up their points in two events in particular: the first official PC event, which took place on Tuesday, and Thursday's Win 100 PES Points event.
The winner of the official PC event, R2Sequens, shot 151 places up the Rankings table after his win, to arrive at position 118, whilst emanuel09 moves up 19 places after finishing in second place.
Diablo007 moved up 54 places after seeing off the opposition and coming first in the Win 100 PES Points event, whilst Rankings points were also picked up by footsoldier, pure domination, and leeomac, as well as georgethegman, who moves up an impressive 301 places to position 108.
This just goes to show that a good performance in a key event can really raise your ranking. Of course, official events have a larger K-value, meaning that more points are up for grabs if you win!
Last week, we mentioned Monday's Casual Nights event. For newer members of PES Rankings, this is an event at which you can just turn up and play. A guide to how to participate, for those unsure, can be found here.
The victor this time was Bogged, who won himself a £50 Play.com voucher for his efforts! The report for this event is well worth a read too! As the Rankings run is completed at the beginning of the week, the rankings points earned during this event won't affect the Rankings table until next week.
There are yet more opportunities to earn points coming up this week, as we have another Win 100 PES Points event, on Thursday. You can sign up to take part in this event here.
Then on Sunday, we have two Play.com offline events, at Gamerbase in Manchester, and at London, in the Trocadero Centre. Both of these events have a £100 Play.com voucher as the first prize, with £50 Play.com vouchers for the runner up!
The PESFan Championship qualifiers for February are taking signups now too. With a £30 Play.com voucher and qualification to the PESFan Online Grand Final in July, this is not to be missed!
PES Rankings have also just launched their Ideas section, where you can let us know what you think of the site, and influence future development. PESFan also has a new Ideas section too, for your suggestions for the site. As always, suggestions and ideas for the game itself can be submitted in the Have Your Say section.
We're now entering the last week of the January Sales on the PES Rankings Store: with up to 50% off on some items, now would be a great time to use up some of your PES Points and bag a bargain!
