The Main Event 2011

The most prestigious event of the PES Rankings year, the Main Event 2011, has now been confirmed for Saturday 16th July!

There are 32 places this year, with some seats having already been allocated to players via special tournaments, by winning awards such as the Player of the Month award, or through our Win a Seat competition, which has been running throughout the year. The Rankings Run on the 20th June will be used to determine the top players at that point, and those who will be invited to the Main Event.

Players qualified so far include: Oz Idris, Footimaster, The_Greek, oldboiler, bf95bc, jay_kincaid, bad_boy_g, hav23, iGod91, ISS_2010 and 13steven14.

The winner of the Main Event 2011 will be crowned the UK Champion and go on to represent the UK at the PES World Finals. This year, the World Finals will take place in Cologne, with three days' worth of entertainment laid on. The Opening Ceremony is planned to take place upon the event ship "Ocean Diva", during a 2 hour cruise of the River Rhine. The event itself will be streamed live, and followed by a Champions Dinner. and the aftershow party. Players will also be taken to visit Gamescom on the last day!

The venue for this season's Main event will be The Light Bar, London, E1, where there will be an open cash bar on the day. If you've not qualified to the Main Event, make the most of the time that is left and create and take part in events on PES Rankings to secure your spot. Guests will also be welcome.. so if you don't qualify to take part, come along and cheer on your favourite player!
