Why the site has been down for Maintenance.

Due to the recent hacking across many high profile web sites, Konami requested that all their websites must be closed while we issue some quite intensive security checks. Not only PES Fan and PES Rankings but all Konami PES League web sites across Europe and even Konami official sites were taken offline. Some of these are still down now but slowly but surely security is being upgraded and sites brought back online. The unfortunate part for us was that PES Fan is such a big site with so many pages that it took many days to run all the checks, leaving us helpless to let you know exactly when we might be back online.

Unfortunately we were not able to let users know that PESFan was going down due to the urgency of the request. We apologise for the extended outage but as you can see while the site was down we have been busy doing a much needed upgrade on the forum software. Hopefully you will find some new features and a faster response.

Now the bad news is again tomorrow we will have to go offline again for a final check as we implement the last parts of some new security. This time however it shouldn't take anywhere near as long to sort and if you follow my twitter I will try and post any info I can.

Hopefully once this is all resolved we can get the community back stronger than ever.

So if you have any ideas or things you would like to see let us know and we will see if we can do them. This can be anything from new features on the forum, competitions, interviews...whatever you would like. Maybe we can come up with a welcome back like Sony did for its weeks of PSN down time ;)

Since Thursday I have been in London at the UK PES 2011 Main Event so this is the first chance I have had to post on the site. I would like to congratulate our new UK champion Bad Boy G, who this weekend won the PES Rankings UK Main Event and now go's on to represent the UK in August at Gamescom to take on the rest of the world.

Again I apologise for the extended outage hopefully you will all stick with us while we resolve things.
