PES 2012 UEFA Champions League Festival

The UEFA Champions League Festival takes place this Saturday in Munich's Olympiapark!
Last month PESRankings.com and six other countries held preliminary round tournaments to determine who would go on to represent their country in Munich for the PES 2012 UCL Final.

Well good news! We've managed to get hold of flights and accommodation for one lucky player and a friend to travel to Munich on 19th of May. They'll be representing the UK in a PES 2012 final playing against 7 other European players to find the European champion of champions.

The biggest PES event of the year, the Official Pro Evolution Soccer World Finals for PES 2011, will be taking place in Cologne, Germany, on August 18th.
Over 30 regional champions from 24 countries will be competing, including our own Bad_boy_g and Oz Idris!

The Final of the UEFA Champions League Festival!

The UEFA Champions Festival activities are continuing this week, with the highly anticipated final of the UEFA Champions Festival Tournament, presented by PlayStation, taking place on Saturday! The tournament will be held in London's Hyde Park, using PES 2011's exclusive UEFA Champions League mode - and the winner will receive a pair of tickets to the UEFA Champions League Final at Wembley Stadium, courtesy of PlayStation!
Representing the UK is Lee Dale, aka bf95cf, who won the qualification event on PES Rankings last week.

On the 7th and 15th May we ran UEFA Champions League Festival offline tournaments which were held in Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and London. The winner from each event went through to an online final to decide the UK Champions League tournament winner!

PlayStation(R) and KONAMI join forces at the UEFA Champions Festival London
The UEFA Champions Festival activities continue over the next week with a celebration of all things UEFA Champions League, from May 21st till May 28th!
The final of the UEFA Champions Festival Tournament, presented by PlayStation(R), will be held in London’s Hyde Park on May 28th, using PES 2011’s exclusive UEFA Champions League mode. Entrants from the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Portugal will gather to take each other on: bf95cf will represent the UK, as the winner of the UK's qualification event on Wednesday this week, and the ultimate winner of this tournament will receive a pair of tickets to the UEFA Champions League Final at Wembley Stadium that evening. Similarly, as an added incentive, runners-up will be invited to watch the game at a luxury venue, to be detailed later.

Undoubtedly the most exciting event will see an end of season online finale featuring the top ranked PES Wii players on PESRankings.com. The top 14 ranked Wii players will receive a special invite to a one off PES Wii online tournament, where the winner of that tournament will earn a direct invite to the PES Rankings PES2011 Main Event and potentially a shot at the PES2011 World Championships. WillyLawsons was the biggest mover on the Rankings table this last week, with a 359 place jump! This follows completion of some fixtures in the PESFan Championships event for PS3, as well as his brief participation in Thursday's Win 100 PES Points event, which was eventually won by RobMclean.

Our series of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories events began on Monday last week, an event won by shotzsn3. This was followed by a second event on Thursday which was won by priest, who has climbed 12 places on the Rankings table.

This week, the biggest leaps up the Rankings table were made by McGuigan(303 places) and keepitmencap (245 places). Starting at the middle to lower end of the table, huge gains like this can easily be made by playing well, especially if you can beat a higher ranked player.
