On the 16th July, top players from across the UK came together to compete in the PES Rankings Main Event 2011.
Bad_boy_g was the eventual winner of the tournament, and was crowned the PES Rankings UK 2011 Champion. He then went on to represent the UK in the World Finals in Cologne in August, which unfortunately, he didn't win.

The Main Event 2011

The most prestigious event of the PES Rankings year, the Main Event 2011, has now been confirmed for Saturday 16th July!
There are 32 places this year, with some seats having already been allocated to players via special tournaments, by winning awards such as the Player of the Month award, or through our Win a Seat competition, which has been running throughout the year.

On Saturday the UK’s best PES players descended upon Hampden Park for the 2nd biggest event of the season, only behind the UK Championships. The North Leg of the North v South was being held in Scotland for the first time although it was to be a tale of an English invasion as both finalists were from South of the border

The Greek Wins Main Event 2010

Congratulations to The_Greek who wins this years Main Event. A fantastic performance saw him win every game culminating in a superb final victory over footimaster who finishes runner up for the 2nd year running. He also has finished top of this years rankings giving a total winnings today of over £2k
Both players will go on to represent the UK at the world finals in Mallorca this September.

Both the Metropolitan and Jubilee lines are closed this weekend for engineering works. This means that there is no access to Wembley Park via the tube this weekend at all.

In 9 days the UK's best 64 PES players will descend on Wembley Stadium for this years UK PES Grand Finals. Months of competition have led to this and they will all fight it out for thousands of pounds worth of prizes.

This year's Main Event is taking place at Wembley Stadium, in the South East Pitch View Room on Level 3.
Parking is available in the Green Car Park, at a cost of £18 per car. We strongly advise you use public transport to the venue as the Car Parks are not run by Wembley Stadium.

The Main Event prizes were recently announced, with prizes for the PES Rankings overall winner as well. For the first time, the winners of the Main Event and PES Rankings Season 2009/2010 will both qualify for the PES World Championships too.

Representing the North we have our Glasgow finalists, danny28986 and Marko9Gardinic, and Manchester finalists, shotzsn3 and iGod91. Representing the South: Reading finalists Footimaster and Oz Idris, and London finalists Cesc and MazIdris.

Its the North Vs South events today. 4 Events in Manchester, Reading, Glasgow and London with players all competing at once. The top 2 from each location will win a place at the final in 2 weeks time in London to compete for a £1000 prize and win an automatic seat into the main event.

This week, the biggest leaps up the Rankings table were made by McGuigan(303 places) and keepitmencap (245 places). Starting at the middle to lower end of the table, huge gains like this can easily be made by playing well, especially if you can beat a higher ranked player.

This week there's been little movement at the top end of the PES Rankings table, with The_Greek and JonnyNelson retaining 1st and 2nd places respectively. Most of the movers and shakers this week seem to have picked up their points in two events in particular: the first official PC event, which took place on Tuesday, and Thursday's Win 100 PES Points event.

After the success of the first ever PESrankings Play.com Casual Night, 2010 will see an abundance of new casual night events launched. Each event will have a £50 play.com voucher up for grabs to the winner of the event.

Celebrity attendance at the Main Event

Throughout the season, we're always moving with one goal in mind, the Main Event.
Last year's Main Event took place at Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United FC. This year we're going one better, and the event is being hosted at Wembley, home of the national team!
Also last year, we had one of the UK's hottest young models in attendance - Rosie Jones.
We know this went down very well with a number of you, and so we were wondering who you would like to attend this year's Main Event.

This week, PES Rankings have announced that the award for November's Admin of the Month has been won by DannyHTD. Alongside this award, he also wins £100 Play.com vouchers, as a thank you for his hard work so far. Ah, the Main Event. The crème de la crème of UK PES championships. Old Trafford, home of Manchester United, was chosen as the venue of last year's Main Event, and it served as a fantastic location for the day. But we wanted to go one better this year - so we snatched up Wembley instead.
Yup, Wembley Stadium, home of the England national team, known across the globe as one of the biggest and best stadiums around – with a capacity second highest in Europe and the only 90-thousand seater found in the world with every seat under cover, we thought Wembley was a fitting choice to host the PES Rankings Season 5 Main Event on 24th July.
