On the 16th July, top players from across the UK came together to compete in the PES Rankings Main Event 2011.
Bad_boy_g was the eventual winner of the tournament, and was crowned the PES Rankings UK 2011 Champion. He then went on to represent the UK in the World Finals in Cologne in August, which unfortunately, he didn't win.
We caught up with him for a short interview.. which you can read here!

On the 7th and 15th May we ran UEFA Champions League Festival offline tournaments which were held in Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and London. The winner from each event went through to an online final to decide the UK Champions League tournament winner!

This weekend at the PES World Finals PES Fan had the opportunity to be involved in a Q&A session with Seabass and members of the team. Here are a few of the questions and answers from that session.
Last year you were not totally satisfied with PES 2010, how do you feel now with PES 2011?
I am confident we have done what we wanted to do and also feel that we have created what will prove to be a good base for future development. I am waiting to hear what the fans think in anticipation.

Jon Murphy has been a busy man these last few days. Not only has he been demonstrating PES 2011 to members of the public at Gamescom, he's also been interviewed by media from across Europe. He has revealed more about the game, with news of 4 vs 4 online sure to please many fans.
The videogamer.com interview was posted the other day, but there are three new interviews online where Jon talks about the online mode, why changes were made for PES 2011 and he even briefly talks about next years game

Spurs licensed in PES 2011

Videogamer.com have revealed that the second English team to be licensed in PES 2011 is Tottenham Hotspur!
Having last been licensed in PES 2008, Spurs return at the expense of Liverpool FC, with the reason given by Jon Murphy that Tottenham simply did better than Liverpool last season.

Seabass Master League Online Interview

PES 2011's goal is 'to win back hardcore'

CVG have posted a snippet of an upcoming interview with Jon Murphy where he outlines what a main priority of PES 2011 is.
He said: "What we want to stop is hardcore level of our fanbase moving, if I'm totally honest - which worryingly has started to happen. For years, we sat on our laurels and assumed it never would happen".

PES Rankings International Cup - Signups now Open!

Earlier this week we announced the PES Rankings International Cup, a large, free-to-enter tournament available for everyone to join.
We have a prize pool of £500 in Play.com vouchers for the top four, with £250 for the winner, £150 for second, and £50 for third and fourth places. We'll also have a variety of spot prizes on offer for competing players, such as our exclusive Condition Tees. There are also a few places at the Main Event to be won - more details to come later.

The official PES 2010 website has posted up a new video interview conducted with head of WEP productions Seabass Takatsuka.
During the interview he reveals his aims when developing PES 2010 and offers a little more insight to his world away from PES. He also answers several fan questions, including quite a few from PESFan members.

PS3 Wands Coming to PES?

More news coming out of another interview with Seabass!
This time he's confirmed to IGN that motion controllers such as Natal and PlayStation 3's motion wands will be incorporated in future instalments of the game. With the success of the Wii version, it will certainly be interesting to see how these technologies could be applied to the main PES games in the next few years.

Konami have posted up a video of an interview conducted with PES designer Kazuki Araki, who is in charge of the online aspects of the game. He answers several questions posed by various PES fan sites across Europe, included us here at PES Fan.
The interview is dominated by questions about the online features of the game, and he confirms some of them whilst saying some modes won't be in this year, but are being worked on for the next game.
