PES 2012 First News - Developer Blog with Seabass

Shingo 'Seabass' Takatsuka, the man tasked with masterminding the development of the PES series, has finally lifted the lid on PES 2012 in an 8 minute video blog. For some, it may only seem like minutes since we were invited to take a seat on the PES 2011 hype train, and for others the wait for 2012 may have seemed like a lifetime. Either way, we finally have a taste of what to expect in this year's final build.

PES 2011 Patch Coming Soon?

A recent tweet from PES team leader Jon Murphy seems to indicate that a PES patch could be on its way soon.

PES 2011 Xbox 360 Demo out Tomorrow

Jon Murphy has confirmed via his twitter page that the Xbox 360 demo will be released tomorrow along with the PC version. The PS3 version should also be available to non-PSN+ subscribers as well, so good news for all platform owners.

The PC version will be out first, and will be available from the official PES 2011 website around midnight tonight. The Xbox version should be released on Marketplace around 10am and the PS3 version will be out late afternoon.

PSN+ subscribers have been very positive with their feedback of the demo, so it'll be interesting to see how a wider audience react to the PES 2011 demo.

Jon Murphy Interviews from Gamescom

Jon Murphy has been a busy man these last few days. Not only has he been demonstrating PES 2011 to members of the public at Gamescom, he's also been interviewed by media from across Europe. He has revealed more about the game, with news of 4 vs 4 online sure to please many fans.

The videogamer.com interview was posted the other day, but there are three new interviews online where Jon talks about the online mode, why changes were made for PES 2011 and he even briefly talks about next years game

Spurs licensed in PES 2011

Videogamer.com have revealed that the second English team to be licensed in PES 2011 is Tottenham Hotspur!

Having last been licensed in PES 2008, Spurs return at the expense of Liverpool FC, with the reason given by Jon Murphy that Tottenham simply did better than Liverpool last season.

EGTV post Japan PES Tour Video

It's been a while in coming, but Eurogamer TV have uploaded their video showing the tour of the PES Studios back in May.

Quite a lot of the content has been seen before, but there's some new footage including a rather strange method of audio capture, and interviews with Seabass and Jon Murphy.

PES 2011's goal is 'to win back hardcore'

CVG have posted a snippet of an upcoming interview with Jon Murphy where he outlines what a main priority of PES 2011 is.

He said: "What we want to stop is hardcore level of our fanbase moving, if I'm totally honest - which worryingly has started to happen. For years, we sat on our laurels and assumed it never would happen".

E3 Trailer feedback... A Quick Analysis

E3 has been and gone - bringing us a selection of fresh new screenshots and nearly 3 minutes of PES 2011 gameplay footage. PES Fan asked for members to give their feedback on what they've seen so far.

Looking at the stats - it turns out that a lot of you are impressed with what Konami have been doing...

EA sports have expressed their fears about the PES series - admitting they can ill afford to be complacent.

Also, Jon Murphy has just mentioned that more PES 2011 will be coming this afternoon!

MCV: PES 2010 a return to form

MCV has posted up a short article on PES 2010 with several quotes from Jon Murphy.

"Konami has told MCV that Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 will bring lapsed fans back to the franchise – thanks to a return to the franchise’s hallmark realism.

Konami’s European PES Team Leader Jon Murphy told MCV that the new game
would bring PES back to its “simulation roots”."
