PES Rankings International Cup - Signups now Open!

Earlier this week we announced the PES Rankings International Cup, a large, free-to-enter tournament available for everyone to join.
We have a prize pool of £500 in Play.com vouchers for the top four, with £250 for the winner, £150 for second, and £50 for third and fourth places. We'll also have a variety of spot prizes on offer for competing players, such as our exclusive Condition Tees. There are also a few places at the Main Event to be won - more details to come later.

Representing the North we have our Glasgow finalists, danny28986 and Marko9Gardinic, and Manchester finalists, shotzsn3 and iGod91. Representing the South: Reading finalists Footimaster and Oz Idris, and London finalists Cesc and MazIdris.

Its the North Vs South events today. 4 Events in Manchester, Reading, Glasgow and London with players all competing at once. The top 2 from each location will win a place at the final in 2 weeks time in London to compete for a £1000 prize and win an automatic seat into the main event.
Players are just arriving at the venues now and the events will be underway soon.

WillyLawsons was the biggest mover on the Rankings table this last week, with a 359 place jump! This follows completion of some fixtures in the PESFan Championships event for PS3, as well as his brief participation in Thursday's Win 100 PES Points event, which was eventually won by RobMclean.

Our series of Silent Hill: Shattered Memories events began on Monday last week, an event won by shotzsn3. This was followed by a second event on Thursday which was won by priest, who has climbed 12 places on the Rankings table.

The biggest mover up the Rankings table this week was pure domination, who moved up 666 places after reaching the quarter-finals of the February PESFan Championship and the semi-finals of the London Play.com event where he lost to Footimaster, the event winner. Pure domination also won the Player of the Week, and 250 PES Points!

This week, the biggest leaps up the Rankings table were made by McGuigan(303 places) and keepitmencap (245 places). Starting at the middle to lower end of the table, huge gains like this can easily be made by playing well, especially if you can beat a higher ranked player.

Ah, the Main Event. The crème de la crème of UK PES championships. Old Trafford, home of Manchester United, was chosen as the venue of last year's Main Event, and it served as a fantastic location for the day. But we wanted to go one better this year - so we snatched up Wembley instead.
Yup, Wembley Stadium, home of the England national team, known across the globe as one of the biggest and best stadiums around – with a capacity second highest in Europe and the only 90-thousand seater found in the world with every seat under cover, we thought Wembley was a fitting choice to host the PES Rankings Season 5 Main Event on 24th July.
