The UEFA Champions Festival activities are continuing this week, with the highly anticipated final of the UEFA Champions Festival Tournament, presented by PlayStation, taking place on Saturday! The tournament will be held in London's Hyde Park, using PES 2011's exclusive UEFA Champions League mode - and the winner will receive a pair of tickets to the UEFA Champions League Final at Wembley Stadium, courtesy of PlayStation!
Representing the UK is Lee Dale, aka bf95cf, who won the qualification event on PES Rankings last week.

The UEFA Champions Festival activities continue over the next week with a celebration of all things UEFA Champions League, from May 21st till May 28th!
The final of the UEFA Champions Festival Tournament, presented by PlayStation(R), will be held in London’s Hyde Park on May 28th, using PES 2011’s exclusive UEFA Champions League mode. Entrants from the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Portugal will gather to take each other on: bf95cf will represent the UK, as the winner of the UK's qualification event on Wednesday this week, and the ultimate winner of this tournament will receive a pair of tickets to the UEFA Champions League Final at Wembley Stadium that evening. Konami have released a new PES 2011 trailer from the Gamescom convention in Germany. It showcases the revamped Become a Legend mode, which has lots of new features and where manager feedback plays a much bigger role. The new Stadium Editor features, as does the Master League Online mode where users compete against others around the world to build the best team. There's also footage of items from the returning PES Shop, which are interesting to say the least.

WENB have now published their impressions from the recent PES 2011 playtest.
It's a great read and gives you their insight into what they think about the new game.
They will also have a pod cast later today so make sure you listen to that as well.
"They say there's no smoke without fire. Ever since PES 2011 was shown in Tokyo, and then most recently at E3, impressions from the press have been consistently positive. The improved competition has certainly moved the goal posts in-terms of what we now expect from a football game, but despite this the WEP team seem to be holding their own with ease so far. While the hardcore have remained loyal, with strong belief PES would somehow find it's way again, most had given up by now. These positive previews, then, have given us all hope that the king has indeed returned. Surely, everyone can't be wrong? It's this feeling of anticipation and confidence that runs through me as I pick up the controller for the first time to play PES 2011."

Earlier this week we announced the PES Rankings International Cup, a large, free-to-enter tournament available for everyone to join.
We have a prize pool of £500 in Play.com vouchers for the top four, with £250 for the winner, £150 for second, and £50 for third and fourth places. The biggest mover up the Rankings table this week was pure domination, who moved up 666 places after reaching the quarter-finals of the February PESFan Championship and the semi-finals of the London Play.com event where he lost to Footimaster, the event winner. Pure domination also won the Player of the Week, and 250 PES Points!

Well, it feels as though it's been a long wait. Over the past year there’s been build-up a plenty, with more preview code than we could shake a stick at, rumours, hearsay, and lots of promises made by Konami.
So what has a year of waiting given us? Well, I’m not going to beat about the bush and tease you with the whys and why nots before giving my opinion - I’ll simply say this. I think PES 2010 provides a very fun, very rewarding football experience, and one that I’d recommend to almost anybody.
