Server certification has expired, transmission failed. The date and time is as displayed below.

Caused by the date and time on the Playstation 3 being incorrect. The time and date needs resetting.

When starting up your Playstation 3:
1. Settings
2. Date and Time Settings
3. Date and Time
4. Set via Internet.


When I access the network option my email address appears.

You must be signed up for Playstation Network to access Network Mode on PES.

Error was found in installed data. Cancelling connection.

Your Konami ID has not been registered correctly.

If you have received the email that confirms your registration, go back and click the confirmation link again.

Then click the PES logo and follow the on screen instructions.


Residual Game Data exists, please try to re-connect later.

Turn the power off on your Playstation 3 using the switch on the back of the console. Wait 5 minutes, then turn the machine back on.

Re-try entering the game.


2 v 2. Unable to choose teammate.

Caused by being in a ranked match. Choosing your teammate is only available for Friendly (Playstation 3) or Player (Xbox 360) matches.

Ranked matches are always paired randomly to avoid problems with stat peddling.


Cannot find my registration code.

Registration codes are only required for Windows versions of the game and PES2008 for the Playstation 3. If you have another version of the game, you will not need one.

If you have one of the versions mentioned, the registration code can be found on the back of the manual.


Code 80010029 when loading up.

1. On the Playstation 3 Main Menu, go to the Game Menu, and then Game Data Utility
2. Delete the PES2009 Game Data
3. Reload PES2009


I can get to the match but my controller doesn't respond.

What is happening is that the L2 button is malfunctioning. As the other controller buttons are pressed, the game is only seeing the L2 button.

Either make sure the L2 button is unstuck or try using a different controller.


How do I register for a Konami ID and Game ID

Visit https://id.konami.net/ and click Konami ID Quick Registration.


I can't change my Game ID so someone else can play.

1. Go to the top menu and scroll down. Select System Settings.
2. Scroll down again and select Auto Login Settings. Change this to 'off'
3. Restart the game. When you next select Network it will ask you which Game ID to log in with.
4. You need to restart the game each time you want to log in...


I start a network game and then it cuts out.

This is a problem with Virgin Media. If you are a user of Virgin Media, you need to contact a high level support technician at Virgin.


Are the servers down?

You can check here http://www.pesfan.com/peslive/ to see if the server for your system is currently experiencing problems. If the symbol is green, the servers are working the way they should, if the symbol is not green there is a problem and you should check again in a few hours.


Edit mode won't allow me to transfer players into a team.

make sure you have created enough room in the team by transferring players out before you transfer some in. Each team only has limited player slots.


Why doesn't my team have the correct kits

The latest version of kits available can be obtained by going to your games System Settings and selecting Download, however how many kits that can be updated is restrained by licensing issues.


Where can I get an option file?

Konami does not offer support for option files.
